Home Educators
Are Restoring
Their Heritage
in Northern Virginia

HEARTH is a support group that provides encouragement to parents who teach their children at home. Its orientation is Christian, guided by God's Word, the Bible. In the Bible we are commanded to provoke one another to love and good works and to train a child according to God's Word.
Our purpose is also to share curricula and resource information, inform parents about legislative developments that concern homeschoolers, and provide positive social interaction among our children.
HEARTH events are organized and run by its membership. There are many opportunities to serve and share your gifts, enriching your child's education while blessing other families.
Some, include:
Electives given during the fall, winter and spring
A monthly newsletter with updates of the activities calendar, articles, and news
Updates via Sharenet (e-mail)
A library with a variety of curriculum
Special family events such as:
Creation Night (where the children get to present their work)
Science & Technology Exhibition
Hoe Down
Christmas Program
Picnic & Pool Party
Talent Night
Graduation
Ski Trip
Field trips
Mom's breakfasts...
and more!
