Graduation Requirements
There are no specific graduation requirements for homeschoolers in the state of Virginia. Parents may select the courses of study for their children, based on their abilities and calling. Parents give the diploma, and decide what learning must be accomplished for their own children to receive the diploma. (This information was confirmed by HEAV and HSLDA.)
For those who will be attending college, check with the college about their requirements. For those who wish to meet or exceed the public school requirements in their homeschool, the following list is provided:
Note: One credit = course completion or 2/3 of a textbook finished with a C average (75%) or better.
